With all that out of the way, up for auction is my 94 Camaro Z28. 5.7 LT1 350 V8, automatic, only 110,000 miles. Clear title in hand. I bought this car 2-3 years ago pretty much as you see it in the pictures. I just haven't had the time to mess with it with all my other projects taking up time, and I'm trying to downsize. The car was put up on blocks shortly after I got it, and somewhere along the line I did put fuel stabilizer in the tank. For the past year or more it was inside a portable garage as seen in the pictures, but I recently tore down the garage a couple weeks ago to prepare the car for sale, and it was also taken off the blocks at that time as well. Tires appear to be 40-50% tread, all seem to hold air. The story that I was told when I purchased it, was that it was the guys buddies car, and it was in the shop getting the head gaskets replaced. The buddy owed him some money and said just take the car for what I owe you. So they called the shop that was performing the repairs, after the head gaskets had already been replaced I was told, and asked them to stop working on it because the car was going to be given to the other guy as-is for payment. Again, as I was told, this obvioulsy upset the shop and basically they just "threw" everything back under the hood and gave it back like that, as you see it now in the pictures. I literally got the car with only one motor mount and the engine was tilted on one side because the other mount was missing. The guy I bought it off of had a bunch of cars in his garage that he was working on, car parts everywhere, and he included everything with the car that he could find, but it is still missing a piece here or there. I installed the other motor mount, but it still needs the nut put on the bolt. I also installed a new tensioner pulley, and threw some used msd wires on it. I also installed the oil cooler delete as well (highly recommended for reliability) and there is fresh oil in the car if I rember correctly. That's about as far as I got with it. I sourced a brand new radiator for it, and most if not all the radiator hoses that were missing from it. I also have a water pump for it. And as seen in the pictures, there are random bolts and parts in the back of the car that go with it too like the wipers, air intake piping, crank pulley and hub, and a few other things. Everything mentioned here is included with the car. Also, there is no exhaust on the car other than the manifolds, which still need new gaskets, but included is all the exhaust components pictured, if you want them: 2 mufflers from Z28's, random piping, and what I believe to be a complete set of high performance down pipes for it. There is a drivshaft for it there too. I hooked a battery up to it last year and the electronics do work. The dash lit up and the power windows also worked. The engine does turn over smoothly as well, not seized. From what I recall, the frame and overall underside of the car is in very good shape. There are some bumps and scrapes here and there on the body, but as you can see, the body is pretty clean. The support poles of the garage thing it was in ended up transferring some paint to the car in high wind, so I took some pictures of the worst spots to show that. You may be able to just pick or rub it off, not sure. From 10 feet back it's hard to even notice. This would be a good shell to add a big block to for a drag project, and sell what you pull out, or finish it up and drive it or sell it for a profit. You could probably just part the car out if you wanted for a huge profit as well. I just don't have time for it anymore like I said, my loss is your gain. This is an industry with no real guidelines and everyone's opinion is completely different. The average consumer doesn’t realize classic vehicles weren’t restored at the factory and are being restored by people in their garages. Everyone’s level of restoration experience is different and it shows in the restoration. An example would be a classic vehicle that's being advertised as an original model with matching numbers could be a phony with a reproduction trim tag and re stamped numbers on the engine block, etc. Another example would be a classic vehicle is being advertised as a full restoration when indeed only a few things have been restored. There are many classic vehicles listed for sale that have cosmetic and mechanical issues with such items as the body, paint, glass, lights, body hinges, gauges, window components, steering components, upholstery, engine leaks and tuning, radiators, transmission, rear end, brake components and suspension components. The consumers are spending thousands of dollars repairing the classic vehicles they've purchased after the sale. A bad purchase could turn into the buyer’s worst nightmare and be extremely costly!
